Dr. Nicholas Baioni

Although Dr. Baioni was interested in the field of medicine from a young age, it wasn’t until he shadowed his uncle that he realized dentistry combined all of his passions! Seeing first-hand the positive impact preventive, restorative, and cosmetic dental care could have on someone’s life inspired him to follow in his uncle’s footsteps, and he’s just as passionate about helping others with world-class dentistry all of these years later.

Dr. Baioni first attended the University of Arkansas, which is where he earned his undergraduate degree. Next, he obtained his dental doctorate at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and worked at a community health clinic. Although these two experiences provided him with immense experience and training, he has continued to pursue additional education through active memberships with the American Dental Association and the Arkansas Dental Association.

Dr. Baioni genuinely loves being a dentist in Garfield, which is why he spends so much time in and outside of the office on dentistry. However, his favorite thing to do in his free time is spending time with his wife and their child, Brooks. He also is passionate about sports and loves attending baseball games at Baum Stadium!

Dr. Baioni is a wonderful dentist. He explains all techniques, is honest about what is pressing and what can wait, and is very up front about all costs. I confidently recommend he and his team.

How do I get emergency dental care?

Dental emergencies can be downright stressful to handle, which is why patients often panic and wonder where they should turn for help. If your dental injury has resulted in uncontrollable bleeding, a fractured jaw, or another potentially life-threatening symptom, then call 911 or head to your nearest ER. For toothaches, loose restorations, and other “straightforward” dental emergencies, call our office. In addition to being open Monday – Wednesday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, we’re available Thursday from 7:00am to 3:00pm. Plus, we do our best to offer same-day emergency dental care and we are in-network with several popular providers, including Blue Cross Blue Shield.

What level of education is required to be a dentist?

To practice dentistry in America, those interested in the career need to first earn their bachelor’s degree (typically in a major that is heavy in math and science). Next, they must attend one of 67 Accredited dental schools in the US, which is where they will undergo three years of classroom and hands-on learning. Once they’ve earned their Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Sciences (DDS), they must complete continuing education to keep their license. Some dentists, like Dr. Baioni, undergo training in a wide range of services while also maintaining active memberships with professional organizations, like the American Dental Association. This allows him to continue to provide his patients with only the best care.

How many dentists are in Garfield?

From one town to the next, it can be difficult to determine exactly how many dentists there are. A general rule-of-thumb is 1 dentist for every 2,000 people. According to the 2010 census, Garfield’s population is only a little over 500. So, access to care is often limited. Don’t worry – our skilled nearby dentist is proud to help patients from all over get the quality dental care they deserve, including those in Garfield.
